A complete circuit contains two parallel-connected devices and a generator for providing the electro

force. The resistance of the first device is 12 ohms, the resistance of the ssecond device is 4 ohms, and the voltage developed by the generator is 40 V. What is the magnitude of the current flowing through the first device?

A: 3.33 A

B: 8 A

C:13.32 A

A. 3.3

The two parellel resistors receive the same voltage. Just use ohms law to find the current. 40/12 = 3.3

This is just basic Ohm's law and it's so easy I'm tempted to not give you the answer, which is 3.33 Amps.

If you can't do this simple problem, you might want to try learning another subject... really... this IS super simple.

I wish you luck.
